groupon

Wow - what an incredible community we have!

Groupon's G-Team gave SEEDS a unique opportunity to activate our friends & supporters, and to make a few new ones - and you all rose to the challenge!

Our campaign is now closed, and we are thrilled to announce that you met our goal of at least 150 vouchers bought, enough to provide 10 Durham Public Schools Elementary Classrooms with FREE Urban Earth sessions. In fact, there were 152 vouchers bought, so our anonymous challenger is filling in the rest to support the 11th classroom.

Your donations, posts, reposts, tweets, emails and word-of-mouth will allow over 200 young scholars to be inspired by the natural world around them.

Thank you doesn't quite say it all... -- Emily Egge Executive Director, SEEDS

In Loving Memory of Rebekah Resnick

BekahOn Monday, September 5, the world lost one of her brightest blossoms in Bekah Resnick. Long-time Garden Manager at SEEDS, Bekah shaped and nurtured our gardens while planting seeds of joy in every person who met her. We miss her deeply.

We invite you, the SEEDS community, to visit the spaces she so lovingly cultivated and to remember the woman who gave so much of herself to the earth.

The Southside Garden at 706 Gilbert Street will be open Mon-Sat during the day for all who wish to visit Bekah's spirit here.

"The Earth laughs in flowers."
