SEEDS Garden Hopped Over the Fence!

Published Tuesday, Apr 1, 2014

SEEDS is excited to bring the garden over the fence, beautifying and making the best use of an otherwise neglected area. Until recently the strip next to the sidewalk and road was wasted space, home only to crabgrass and weeds. Now with the hard work of volunteers like you and the team at SEEDS, it has been turned into a beautiful addition to the garden. Designed to be visually engaging with varying textures and colors, the strip is home to free pick, pollinator, and herb plants. Plants were relocated from other areas in the garden that will soon be renovated according to the new collaborative garden design. The plants were chosen for their tolerance the hot, dry conditions that are found in the garden area next to the street. The process of the project was labor intensive, and very rewarding. First all the weeds had to be dug and pulled up, then the soil picked over for rocks and debris. Next compost was added along the strip, and hand-tilled into the existing soil. The soil was formed into a mound with a trench on either side, which helps let water soak into the soil without getting water and eroded soil all over the sidewalk. Please walk by and engage your senses in our new sidewalk planting.

Remote play, in its current state, is powerful in theory, but limited text message spy app by its support.
