Cukey Citrus Water

Cukey Citrus Water

Published Monday, May 30, 2016

You’ve been working outside in the garden pulling weeds, putting up fencing, lifting bags of mulch and large rocks.  Now you’re thirsty!  Prior to going outside to work, make up a large pitcher of homemade “vitamin water” and keep it on hand to quench your thirst. The delicious addition of fruit to water will motivate you to drink more often which will keep you hydrated. You’ll also get a boost of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants from the fruit.  Best yet, you won’t get any sugar, caffeine, or artificial dyes.  Drink up!

Cukey-Citrus Water

Ingredients

1 gallon of filtered water

3 cups of ice cubes

½ cucumber (thinly sliced)

1 lime (thinly sliced)

1 lemon (thinly sliced)

8 mint leaves (rinsed)

Directions

  1. Put sliced lemon, lime, mint leaves, and cucumber in a large clear pitcher.
  2. Add the ice cubes.
  3. Pour in the water.
  4. Drink often!

Enjoy!
