Youth Are What Youth Eat (YAWYE) is a program in which young people educate their peers about the various ways are foods are processed and why.  The crew from Durham Inner-City Gardeners (DIG) lead presentations that include a "Taste Test" (depending on the season) comparing organic produce from the SEEDS garden with conventionally-grown, store-bought produce.  The DIG youth also talk about their experiences growing and eating organic fruits and vegetables and display a very special "Food Jeopardy Board" with questions that will baffle most students and adults.  The YAWYE presentation is available as part of SEEDS' Urban Earth curriculum.

For more details about the YAWYE program, please contact Thad Bennett at 683-1197 or tbennett@seedsnc.org
