•    Who loves the Earth and wants to take care of it?
•    Who is looking for a great camp to go to this summer?

Then check out Summer SEEDlings, the low-cost half-day summer camp of SEEDS!

Attention Parents! If your child will be completing any elementary school grade level this year, come check out SEEDS's half-day summer camp, "Summer SEEDlings"! Summer SEEDlings is one of the most exciting camps in town, where children get a chance to explore our two-acre garden, practice growing and cooking their own food, observing bugs, birds, and other garden critters, and much more! They'll meet other kids from across Durham, as well as our awesome summer volunteers and the always-cool SEEDS staff. They will play games outside and inside, make crafts, and learn new ways to enjoy and take care of the Earth. Camp hours are from 8 am - noon, Monday - Friday. Here are the themes of this year's camps:

WEEK 1 (June 20-24th)
Lets Travel the World- Travel the world every day of camp and learn to make bread from India, sushi from Japan, and Tostadas from Mexico! All using our very own veggies from the garden!

WEEK 2 (June 27-July 1) No More Trash!- Would you like to know what a plastic trash plague is? What in the world is atmosphere pollution? Campers will think of creative and fun ways to rid ourselves of one of earth’s biggest problems.

WEEK 3 (July 11-15) Earth Heroes- It’s a bird, It’s a plane! It’s Earth Heroes! In this fun environmental education camp, kids will have the chance to use their super-powers to save the world!

WEEK 4 (July 18-22) Martial Arts and Animals- Snapping Turtle Stance, Great Blue Heron Spear, Snake Fist and many other techniques are featured in this unique movement camp that introduces martial arts and the animals that inspired the movement.
