We're taking orders until March 15 and will only construct compost tumblers that have been pre-ordered. Here's a perfect way to save all your kitchen scraps and yard waste and turn it into beautiful, rich compost for gardening! John and Luke's Compost Tumbler is constructed of a recycled pickel barrel, pressure treated lumber and all galvanized connections. It's built to last many gardening seasons and is so easy to use! The entire barrel rotates 360 degrees to fully mix all the organic material inside. Holes are drilled in all the right places to allow air to flow and water to drain. No hand mixing, no garden tools needed, no mess! And the black barrel will have your compost cooked and ready to use in no time at all! John and Luke have these Compost Tumblers for sale! We're currently taking orders for a pick up in early April at SEEDS. We suggest buying two tumblers so you can stagger your composting. Start one now and start the 2nd in a couple months. When your first batch is cooked your 2nd batch will be well on its way -- and you can start the cyle all over again!
The price: $125 plus tax. And we'll make a $25 donation to SEEDS for every composter sold.

Below are photos and descriptions of how John and Luke's Compost Tumbler works, on site at the Bynum Community Garden.
Shovel your waste into the barrel from a vertical position.
A removable 2nd steel rod can be easily slid into place behind the barrel to hold it in a horizontal position. We thought of everything!
Look at all that yummy waste!
Pop the lid on.
Inside the barrel a galvanized steel rod connects the barrel to the frame, running through a 3" PVC pipe. The pipe is perforated to allow air flow through the screened in hole in the bottom. A removable cap on the pipe makes cleaning a breeze.
Or shovel it in from a horizontal position.
And screw it down. With a rocking motion, you can swing the composter all the way over, perfectly mixing the contents inside.
