Looking for an opportunity to invest your skills and passion to support Durham’s youth? SEEDS is seeking great people to join our board and help us evolve in service of our mission to teach kids to respect life, the earth and each other through growing, cooking and sharing food.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future direction and impact SEEDS will have on Durham’s youth through our programs which plant and nurture nutritional and food sustainability knowledge as well as leadership, teamwork and other essential life skills. Our small, yet mighty, board is seeking to expand to meet the growing needs in the community that we have the potential to serve.
This is an opportunity to make a major difference immediately. Prior board experience and/or expertise in any of the following are especially desirable:
- Legal
- Board Governance
- Finance and Accounting
- Fundraising and Advocacy
- Holding Officer Roles – Serving as Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer
We are a working board, so we need people who not only have a passion for our purpose but who will also roll up their sleeves and invest time in giving their talents. This could be a terrific opportunity for newbies to Durham to get involved in our community, for retirees to put your wealth of talents back to work or anyone who wants to see your effort make a direct and important impact.
