Fig Leaf Simple Syrup

Ingredients
6 Fig leaves
2 Cups Water
1 Cup Honey (some folks prefer to skip the honey and double the sugar)
1 Cup Sugar
Directions
Pre heat oven to 350.
Lay leaves out on a pan and bake until they curl. 3-5 minutes.
In medium sauce pan, bring water and sugar/honey to boil.
Remove from heat. Add fig leaves, stir. Allow to steep for about 1.5 hours. Strain and store in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
