About DIG

About the DIG Program

DIG is a youth-driven, urban farming and leadership development program. This program is available to high school students and recent high school grads. The DIG crew work together to accomplish meaningful work that impacts their community, such as managing the market garden and farm stand, participating in workshops, cooking healthy meals for one another, fighting for food justice, and engaging in leadership and team building activities.

The DIG program runs Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, from 8am-12pm; the commitment is about 12-16 hours per week. Each youth member is paid a competitive wage of $15/hour for their work at SEEDS. DIG Crew Members will work outside in most Summer weather, tending our vegetable beds, harvesting produce, packing free weekly produce bags (and you will get one each week as well!), and preparing their own meals!

If you are a youth currently enrolled in high school or are a recent high school grad, check out the DIG Full Job Description!
