Volunteer / Service Learning

There are many ways to get involved – and get your hands dirty – at SEEDS! Check out our volunteer options, and check back often for new opportunities.

Volunteer Internships for Adults

Do you have a passion for Food Justice, Food Access Issues, and/or communities impacted by Gentrification and Food Apartheid? Share that passion and learn valuable skills with us! Through this opportunity you will:

  • Volunteer with our youth program (limited availability)
  • Get dirty!
  • Learn basic vegetable garden/farm maintenance such as plant identification, weeding, planting, and harvesting.
  • Learn seasonality of crops so you can plan for your own garden or small farm
  • Apply here! (weekly commitment)

Group Volunteering for Adults

Want to bring a group? Fill out the interest form below, and check out our Volunteer FAQs. (Please note: We offer group volunteer days a few times per month, and they tend to fill up!)

Community Service

Looking to fulfill community service hours at SEEDS? Please fill out the form below.

Youth Volunteers

Our garden volunteer work is often physically demanding, suitable for those who are high-school age or older. For activities for younger youth, please visit the “Youth Programs” tab of our website.

Church groups, please fill out the following Youth Group interest form and we will be back in touch shortly!

To best serve our mission, our volunteer options have changed.  If you have questions about volunteering at SEEDS, please email volunteer@seedsnc.org.
