Chickens are Coming to SEEDS!

Published Wednesday, Apr 9, 2014

Guess what!  We are going to have tiny chickens at SEEDS in the next week or two! However, we need YOUR help taking care of them. Would you be interested in adopting a day of the week to take care of our chicks?

PERKS: you would get to share the eggs, and visit lovely lively chicks in our beautiful garden.

RESPONSIBILITY:  you would be committed to that day of the week, every week.  If you went on vacation, it would be your responsibility to find a backup person to take over for you.  We’ll help you out by starting to form a back-up list of people to call, and your friends are welcome to help.  You would be watering, feeding, and keeping an eye out for anything unusual with the chickens.  Each visit should only take about 15 minutes.

What do you think?  Are you interested?  Do you know anyone that would be interested? Contact Garden Manager Hilary Nichols at HNichols@seedsnc.org to get involved. And stay tuned to vote in our naming contest!
